QDMS 4.2 Technical Specifications 

QDMS System Requirements

Application Server
Operating system requirements: Windows Server 2003 R2 or later (64-bit recommended) with latest Service Pack.
  .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or later
Hardware requirements (minimum): Dual Core 2.4GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 10Gb free disk space. Actual specs dependent on user count and QDMS modules in scope (determined during assessment activities).
   
Database Server
Database requirements: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 64-bit with SP1 or later. See OS version requirements from Microsoft.
Hardware requirements (minimum): Quad Core 2.4GHz processor, 8GB RAM, 60Gb free disk space. Actual specs dependent on user count and database size (determined during assessment activities).
   
Fat Client
Operating system requirements (minimum): Windows XP Professional with latest Service Pack.
  .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or later
Hardware requirements (minimum): Intel Pentium 4 processor, 300MB free RAM.
   
Network
Connectivity requirements: Microsoft SQL Server Client Access Licenses (CALs)
Network / bandwidth requirements: TCP/IP network, Minimum 10Mbps of total bandwidth
Data level security: SQL security or Integrated Security with a Domain
Application level security: SQL security or Integrated Security with a Domain
Access requirements: MAP will need access to the application and database servers from time to time to install QDMS upgrades. Such activities are coordinated with the client IT department as appropriate.

QDMS Interfaces
Interfaces
Required ERP interfaces: One interface (SQL query) is required to the existing EPR system deliver Job Master, Product, and Customer information to QDMS.
Required HMI interfaces: QDMS does not provide automated process control functionality. However, SPC and HMI/SCADA systems can access the QDMS database (SQL query) to provide spc charts.
Interface type: ERP interface is batch typically configured to run once daily.
ERP system change implications: The ERP interface that supplies Job Master, Product, and Customer information has to be rewritten.
Data access using 3rd party tools: Any application or tool that can communicate with MS SQL Server can access the QDMS data.
External Specifications Management QDMS can be configured to retrieve product specifications that are managed by a 3rd party system provided the database is accessible.

QDMS Support
Support
Software Maintenance: Software patches (technical and/or functional) are included in the annual support agreement. Additional costs for travel related expenses may apply if the upgrade requires an on site visit for installation.
User Support: $0 for off-site support (via telephone during normal business hours). On site user support after production launch performed as requested on a Time and Materials + expenses basis.
Bug / Fix $0 provided it is not environment related. Travel related expenses may apply if an on site visit is required.
Break / Fix: Time and materials + travel related expenses.
Enhancements: Time and materials + travel related expenses as requested by client.
Disaster Recovery: Time and materials + travel related expenses as requested by client.
Desktop replacements: Time and materials + travel related expenses as requested by client.
